Robert Blumm, RPA-C, MA

President

I serve the ACC as the current president. I became a charter member in the ACC because I believe strongly in the synergy between NP's and PA's and think it's time to stop the foolishness and start cooperating on every level, including our national organizations. This can only be accomplished if you, the member, advocate for us to your national organization. In the past I have worn different hats as President of the New York State Society of Physician Assistants where I worked closely with my counterpart from the NP side, Kathleen Kelly, NP-C, Ph.D-c. I was president of the American Association of Surgical Physician Assistants and worked closely with the AORN and AST and created a forum for us to communicate as leaders at the College of Surgeons meeting. I served as the chairman of the surgical congress of the AAPA for four years as well as the Liaison to the American College of Surgeons from the AAPA for five years. I have worked as an Administrator, surgical PA and Emergency Department PA. I served on the Governor's Healthcare Advisory Board and the Quality Assurance Council of Minuteclinic, Inc. I am presently employed as Regional Training Manager of Minuteclinic, Inc which gives me the opportunity to visit many states and observe the synergy as is embodied in the Minuteclinic Corporate Culture. I am also the clinical instructor for Emergency Medicine and Surgery at Hofstra University and am a faculty member of FHEA as well as a national conference speaker. I desire only one thing; for NP's and PA's to embrace each other and stand together in unity against any group that would desire to eliminate our professions or to discredit the care that we excel at.
Join me in my dream!
